About Dr. A. Bruce Clark's Civic Website

Dr. Clark, whose background can be found by clicking HERE, started this website in 2004 to assist those looking for work at faith-based job assistance programs sponsored by churches in the Houston area. Many of these churches are now drawing more than 500 job seekers per week.

These church groups believe that Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a perfect life, died to pay sin's penalty, rose from the grave on the third day and is alive today in the flesh seated at the right hand of God the Father providing eternal life to those who follow Him. Thus, they believe that Jesus (as the Perfect Lamb crucified during the Passover period) fulfilled the Old Testament prophesies spoken about the Messiah. However, most of the church programs are open to people of all faiths and many provide opportunities for participants to (1) talk with headhunters, (2) network to receive names of people to contact and (3) view posted job openings.

When Dr. Clark put this information together, he did it to help those in need. However, Dr. Clark began asking (while recovering from the injuries caused by a drunk, uninsured, illegal immigrant motorist causing a head on collision on a Tuesday evening) that each and every user of this information mail $5.00 (i.e., the cost of a beverage and a dessert) to help cover the costs needed to maintain this website.
